Independent quotation audit · India

The quote you're about to sign is missing ₹2 lakh of work.

Across the quote pairs we have audited, the median gap between what a homeowner believed was covered and what the document actually priced was ₹2.1 lakh. Not a discount, not a negotiation: work that simply was not written down. Upload both quotations and see your score before you pay an advance.

01 · What the audit finds

A lower quote is not a lower project cost.

01

Scope that was never priced

False ceilings, wardrobe internals, kitchen counters, loft units, electrical points and painting preparation routinely appear in one quote and vanish from the other. We price every gap at city benchmark rates.

02

Rates that cannot be compared

One vendor quotes per module, another per square foot, a third gives a lumpsum. We convert all three onto one measured basis before a single rupee is compared.

03

Specifications written to stay vague

“Premium plywood” and “standard hardware” are not specifications. We record what each document actually states, and mark what it does not.

04

Commercial terms that shift later

Advance percentages, milestone triggers, GST treatment, timeline commitments and warranty exclusions decide what the project costs after you have paid.

02 · How it works

Four steps, and every mark is traceable.

  1. 01

    Upload both quotations

PDF, Excel, document or a clear photo. Nothing is shared with any vendor.

  2. 02

    We read every line

Each line item is extracted verbatim, matched to a common scope library and converted to one measured basis.

  3. 03

You get a score out of 100

Eight weighted parameters, every mark traceable to the exact line it came from.

  4. 04

    You negotiate from evidence

A list of unpriced scope and the precise questions to send each vendor.

03 · Independence

We are paid by homeowners. Only.

Scopewise is never paid for the outcome of any recommendation. No commissions, no referral fees, no lead sales, no sponsored placements, no paid rankings. Homeowners are our only reporting customers. Where interior firms pay us, it is only to have their quotation template audited against the published standard, which has no bearing on any individual verdict.

If we don't find at least ₹50,000 of missing scope or mispricing, you pay nothing.

04 · Who signs the report

Four people, 40+ years inside Indian interiors.

  • Marketing and sales development
  • Design and specification
  • Procurement and operations
  • Execution and handover

Scopewise is built and run by a team of four with more than forty years of combined experience inside the Indian home interiors industry: marketing and sales development, design, procurement and operations, and site execution through to handover.

We have written quotations, priced them, discounted them and closed them. We have also stood at handover when the gap between what was quoted and what was delivered finally became visible. That is the vantage point every report is written from.

Every report is issued by the Scopewise review desk and passes a human check before it is released. If an audit misses something, write to us and we will answer it.
